FREE THE INNOCENT CAMPAIGN JUSTICE FOR KEVIN NUNN

WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION (25/11/08)

Welcome to The Justice For Kevin Nunn Campaign Website.

On the 20th November 2006 Kevin Nunn was wrongfully convicted of murdering Dawn Walker. Kevin and Dawn had been in a relationship for two and a half years. He loved and cared for Dawn and had never harmed her or anyone else in his life. The picture on the left shows them both on holiday in Mexico late 2004.

It is alleged that Kevin Nunn murdered Dawn Walker following an argument on Wednesday evening 2 February 2005. They had both amicably agreed the relationship had run its course. There was no argument and no raised voices. Kevin left Dawn's house in Fornham St Martin and drove home alone in his black Volkswagon Passat estate car to Woolpit before 10pm that same evening.

Dawn Walker did not turn up for work the following day, Thursday 3rd February 2005. She was still missing on Friday 4th February and could not be contacted. Kevin Nunn reported Dawn Walker as a missing person to Suffolk Police on the morning Friday 4th February 2005.

Dawn Walker's body was was found alongside the River Lark by 2 women out walking just before 5pm on Friday 4th February 2005. This is a public footpath and just over a mile away from Dawn Walkers home in Oak Close. No known cause of death was ascertained. Probable cause of death was hypothermia owing to exposure.

Kevin Nunn is alleged to have asked a friend and work colleague of Dawn Walker's - a man that Kevin had not knowingly met before, to assist in disposing of her body. The work colleague had a silver estate car. A silver estate car was supposedly seen in Oak Close by some of the neighbours at the time of Dawn's disappearance.

Kevin Nunn was arrested for the murder of Dawn Walker on 13 March 2005 and charged on the 16 March 2005. In October 2005 Kevin Nunn was granted bail and was able to live on his own and sign-in to a police station each day.

It took nearly 2 years for a trial to take place at Ipswich Crown Court in October 2006. The work colleague was acquitted during the trial. Kevin Nunn was wrongly convicted and given a 22 year life sentence for a crime he did not commit.

The entire case was based on circumstantial evidence. There is no forensic evidence against him.

Kevin Nunn is completely innocent.

We are also appealing to anyone who knows the identity of the three women who were seen in Oaks Close on that same Wednesday evening, 2 February 2005 asking for Dawn Walker's house. Suffolk Police also appealed for these women to come forward during their investigation.
