Prosecution

Prosecution case

After nearly two years of investigation Suffolk police provided the following evidence to Ipswich Crown court:

 1. A 1mm by 1mm hair fragment of hair found in the lining of Kevin Nunn's laundry basket.

 2. Footprints on the footpath a metre from the deposition sight belonging to Kevin Nunn.

 3. Main theme of investigation and trial was 'jealousy killing' due to hearsay from work colleagues of Dawn Walker and evidence given by Kevin's ex wife Warner, who divorced 12 years ago.

 4. Kevin had a key cut to Dawn Walker's house in 2004 without Dawn's or anyone else's knowledge.

 5. A alleged disturbance within Oak Close, where Dawn Walker lived, on the evening she was last seen by Kevin Nunn.

 6. A voice message from Dawn Walker lasting approx 60 seconds. Recieved Thursday 3rd February 2005 04.50am

 7. Dale, (main witness) made several statements, at various times, to the police. She alleged seeing two men with a laundry bag or roll of carpet about 4.50am Friday 4th February 2005.

 8. CCTV footage of Dawn Walker leaving the Suffolk Swallow Gym at '9.30pm' 2nd February 2005.

Police alleged Kevin lied regarding his movements on that evening.

The prosecution stated she was killed, taken from the house, burnt, brought back and taken out again!

Where is the forensic evidence to suggest a partially clothed, burnt body has been in that house?

There is no forensic evidence in Dawn Walker's house, garden, or shed.

Her car does NOT appear to have had a forensic examination.

There was no forensic evidence in Kevin Nunn's house, clothes, bedding, pipes, garden or car.

Police sent a DNA sample of May, ex violent boyfriend of Dawn Walker, to the London Forensic Science Service during the trial!?

Taken from the police data bank, as he is a sex offender, he had refused to provide a sample.

Evidence of this was found in the 'unused material' however, the result of the test is missing!!
